There are many University holds that will prevent the release of your diploma. If you have one of these holds, you will not be able to complete your order until the hold is cleared with the University.

Your diploma will be printed with the legal name we have on file for you. If your legal name has changed, please contact the Office of the Registrar to update this information before placing your diploma order.

Many alumni will not have access to their MyISU Portal account, and will need to follow the blue button above to create an account on the Ordering Portal. The initial process of creating an account on that system could take up to two business days, as the Office of the Registrar will need to validate your account information with our official records. Once your account is established, you can complete your order.

If you do have access to your MyISU Portal account, you can order a copy of any diploma you've previously received from ISU through your MyISU account. Within the Student Self-Service badge, click "Official Transcript or Diploma." You will be able to order a copy of your diploma immediately

In either case, after your order is completed, your diploma will arrive at the specified address in 2-3 weeks.

Once you have reached the Ordering Portal, the site will walk you through placing your order, including delivery options and fees. Status updates of your order will be emailed to the account you list on your order.

Diploma fees are approved by the Board of Trustees. Current fees are:

  • Duplicate Diploma*:            $25.00
  • Diploma notarization:          $5.00

*Currently, any duplicate diploma orders include an eDiploma download option as well.

Please note that in most cases it is not necessary to have your diploma notarized. This service is offered for alumni who need their diplomas appostilled by the Secretary of State when attempting to verify a degree for overseas employment. Requesting your diploma be notarized will delay its arrival.
